We’re Gonna Talk About It Podcast
Episode 8: But You Seem Fine

Like the song says, “Everybody gets the blues now and then” sadness is natural, and without it, we have nothing to compare joy with. But what happens when the now and then blues turn into something more serious?

“We’re Gonna Talk About It” is proud to talk about the issues you care about. Whether these are lighthearted conversations with best female friends, or highly personal stories of struggle and hope, featuring wonderful guests that aren’t afraid to be open and honestcreating this content for you is what we are all about. And this time, the subject is Mental Illness.

Episode 8 also contains three incredible interviews, Sarah Webster Norton of Serving Those Serving, Jean Mills of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, and Sue Abderholden of NAMI MN (National Alliance on Mental Illness).

It’s also the most personal for your hosts, Buffie and Carolyn as they frankly discuss severe depression, the effects on relationships and health, and the challenges of finding and affording decent treatment.

Taking away the taboos associated with talking about mental health is the first step. We MUST start treating mental illness as we do any other illness that we need treatment and support for. “We’re Gonna Talk About It” and the conversation starts now.
