We’re Gonna talk about it Podcast
Episode 7: The other mother
Mother’s Day is a day where you honor and celebrate all the mothers in your life. For this special episode of ‘We’re Gonna Talk About It’, you’ll get to hear the inspirational stories of three mothers. They’re not just any mothers, they’re the “other mother”, as in the step-mother and the mother that adopted! In this three-guest episode, Amber, Stephanie, and Valerie give their advice and experiences on unconventional motherhood. All three stories are unique in their own way. Their stories show triumph and resiliency.
Guest Spotlight:
Amber Schindeldecker (@amberadopts), is practically family to Rock What You Got, because she is Host Buffie’s niece. She prides herself on being a career woman. Amber is becoming a single mother by choice to a baby boy she is adopting this month (May 2021).
Stephanie March (@stephaniemarch), is the Senior Editor of Food and Dining of Minneapolis St. Paul Magazine in addition to sounding off on her radio show, Weekly Dish on MyTalk 107.1. She is the mother of four children. One is her biological child, while the other three children are from her now ex-husband’s previous relationship. All children are under her custody.
Valerie Newbold (@minnesotamrsmom) works within the educational field and is also a Step Family Life Coach. She is happily married with two boys and a step-daughter that she has known since she was born. Valerie became a step-mom right away when becoming serious with her husband.
Whether you’re a mom or not, you don’t want to miss out on these life-changing stories. Tune in to find out how and why Amber made her choice, how Stephanie ended up keeping her bonus children amidst a divorce, and how Val supports other stepparents as a Stepparent Coach.
Shoutout to all kinds of mothers that may enter someone’s life whether they’re biological or not. “It takes a village.” as Stephanie March says.
