Outreach
WHAT?! I DIDN’T KNOW THAT WAS A THING…
The problem? An array of gender gap challenges live within the shadows of society.
The solution: Shine light on gender gap challenges through awareness and community education. Do it in person. Further that with digital reach. Make it accessible.
How it happens:
Live Shows (in-person outreach):
The Pay Gap Comedy Series are live shows that clap back at the gaps in society. Social change is influenced using entertainment, education, and audience engagement.
The given name ‘Pay Gap’ nods at women earning 82% of what men do, but the series spreads awareness about connecting topics: technology, education, and economy. Closing a gap becomes critical to alleviate resource hardship for families, especially women.
Podcast (digital outreach):
The ‘We’re Gonna Talk About It’ Podcast educates listeners on focus topics surrounding society gaps from the comfort of home.
Community Space
WE ARE STRONGER TOGETHER.
The problem? A lack of unity between gender equity organizations limits Minnesota’s ability to move the needle for gender equity.
The solution: Facilitation of common goals and shared resources will maximize community impact.
How it happens: Rockstoria Studios™ holds space for equity and unity as a community resource. It offers equitable rates and donates the studios year-round to support others on their mission to make a difference.
Training & Mentorship
SEE IT, LEARN IT, BE IT.
The problem? Women, non-binary, and BIPOC people are underrepresented in the production industry.
The solution: Provide student’s with tools, training, and mentorship to help advance the footprint.
How it happens:
Student Training: We partner with local colleges on production projects to build student networking & experience.
Educator Training: Rock What You Got® staff helps educators with limited resources close gaps in their media/production curriculum to set underrepresented students up for success.
