Ticket Option 1:

Stage + Marketplace

Missing the MN State Fair and other summer Festivals? There’s still time to enjoy the last glimmers of summer at the Rock What You Got Pay Gap Comedy & Music Festival! Lose yourself in this full day of laughter, music, and shopping at the spacious outdoor West End Market on the MN State Fair grounds. Starting at 10am, shop with local businesses in the Marketplace. Then, at noon the comedy variety show begins. After that, settle in for an afternoon of country & soul music. Tickets are very limited. Get yours today!

Ticket Option 2:

Marketplace Only

Shop with local businesses and makers in our festival marketplace! Gather your friends and make the most of the warm weather as you shop with peace of mind at the spacious outdoor West End Market on the Minnesota State Fair Grounds. Plus, your business will be directly helping our local small businesses and artisans who have been impacted by COVID-19. If you choose the Marketplace only ticket, you will not have access to the Stage area. Tickets are very limited. Get yours before they’re gone!

To ensure a safe event for all our attendees, vendors, performers, and staff, we will be enforcing the following safety protocols required by the state of Minnesota:

with exceptions for eating and drinking

SOCIAL DISTANCING

please maintain a 6-foot distance from others

ASSIGNED SEATING

in the stage area to ensure social distance

SANITIZATION STATIONS

throughout the marketplace and stage areas
please note: the restrooms will be portable

LIMITED ATTENDANCE

to ensure we stay under capacity limitations

including vendors, performers, and volunteers

Enjoy some concessions provided by the Minnesota State Fair! Whether you’re in the Stage area or the Marketplace, you will have access to food and beverages!

Plus, all Comedy & Music ticket-holders (excluding Marketplace Only ticket-holders) will receive FREE Donut Holes On-A-Stick from our sponsor, Valley Pastries!

We are using this event to support the FINNEGANS Community Fund. Bring non-perishable food to donations to help keep our local food shelves stocked!

The Pay Gap Comedy & Music Festival and the Festival Marketplace will take place rain or shine! But, there will be overhangings to hide from rain. Still, you might want to bring:

  • Umbrella – but don’t block the view!
  • Blankets + cushions
  • Layers – you never know in MN!
  • Comfortable shoes
  • Water bottle

Refund Policy

We want you to feel comfortable purchasing tickets to the Pay Gap Comedy & Music Festival. Given the uncertain times we’re living in, if you are experiencing symptoms or have been exposed to COVID-19 within 2 weeks of the event, let us know and we will issue you a full refund. Please stay home and rest if you are feeling sick. This goes for all our vendors, performers, and staff as well. Let us know as early as possible if you cannot attend. Tickets are very limited and we want as many people as possible to have the opportunity to enjoy this event!

Additionally, if this festival is forced to postpone or cancel due to state closures or health concerns, you will receive a full refund.

A writer on Mystery Science Theater 3000 and featured as the beloved arch-nemesis Pearl Forrester, Mary Jo Pehl is best known for being a crossword puzzle clue in a national magazine. She's been featured at comedy festivals with her show One Across: My Life As a Former Crossword Puzzle Clue.

A hybrid of Minnesota and Wisconsin, Mary is a favorite on radio shows and podcasts around the country including The Bob and Tom Show, Marc Maron's WTF Podcast, and The Grand Ole Opry. This year, she played a lead character in the new Hulu cartoon Solar Opposites by the creators of Rick and Morty.

Miss Shannan Paul

A self-labeled Geek, Miss Shannan Paul brings roaring laughter to even the most curmudgeonly of crowds. She is the host of the "Mom Show" on MyTalk 107.1, and the "Be Our Geek" podcast. Miss Shannan was also named the Best Standup Comedian by the City Pages in Best of the Twin Cities 2020.

Known for her 2014 appearance on NBC's The Voice, Kat Perkins sailed to the finals with her stand-out performances. Since then, she’s gone on an average of two military tours per year, performing for the troops overseas and speaking to students about making a positive impact and following their dreams.
